Birch plywood is a beautiful and versatile material with layers of natural beauty. It offers both creative opportunities and visual impact. Even when your plywood core is bonded to a premium laminate, it still boasts a beautiful, understated naked edge. Our passion for producing these exceptional fronts is not only driven by the materials we use but also by our ethos. We strive to be an ethical company that works with circular products, and we eliminate waste at every level and use renewable or recycled materials.
Plywood
All of our plywood door and drawer fronts, including our decor panels, are made of 18mm birch plywood. We can also supply our decor panels in various thicknesses, up to 40mm. Birch plywood is a superior quality hardwood made up of multiple layers of thin veneers. It is strong, durable, and has excellent physical and mechanical properties. It also offers a beautiful exposed edge finish and a high-quality face finish. We use BB grade birch plywood for all our laminated fronts and panels. This grade offers minimal knots and imperfections throughout the board, allowing for consistent colour throughout the layers. For non-laminated fronts and panels, we use S+/BB grade birch plywood. This grade offers a cleaner face side with only natural imperfections, making it ideal for clear natural finishes.
Fenix NTM
Fenix NTM is an innovative laminate from Arpa Industriale. The most striking thing about Fenix is its super-matt surface. Not only are they beautiful to look at, but they also have a pleasant soft feel to the touch and are anti-fingerprint. NTM stands for Nano Tech Matt, a high-tech material with unique characteristics. It has a non-porous external layer that is highly resistant to scratches, abrasion, dry heat, acid-based solvents, and household reagents. This means hassle-free maintenance with simple, everyday care and cleaning methods. Fenix is a highly versatile laminate with a sophisticated collection of colours that can inspire any design idea and transform your space. Its antibacterial properties also make them suitable for contact with food, ideal for kitchens and areas where hygiene is important. Fenix NTM is exceptional, extremely durable and heat-resistant. Fenix states that “The surface of the material is scattered with a dense grid of cross-polymers with their own memory, which can be reactivated by the application of heat.” Fenix NTM is available in twenty timeless colours and offers a further four colours from its Fenix NTM Bloom range.

Formica
Formica is one of the most recognized and original inventors of high-pressure laminate (HPL). It offers an unrivaled collection of colors, patterns, and finishes that can offer a broad range of looks. Formica laminates are made using layers of kraft paper that form the core of the material. The paper is impregnated with resin and pressed together at high pressure and temperature with a resin impregnated decorative layer. This gives the laminate its color, surface aesthetic, and high resistance to wear, impact and heat. Formica laminates are an incredibly versatile solution with an almost unlimited scope for creativity and customisation. They are a hard-wearing surface that can be suited to any space, including high-traffic areas. They are also wipe-clean, stain-resistant and hygienic, ideal for kitchens, utility rooms, and bathrooms.

Merinolam
Merinolam offers a diverse collection of laminate surfaces with infinite design possibilities. They are produced by one of the world’s largest manufacturers of decorative laminates. Their sustainable and ethically sourced collection boasts a protective poly-coating across its range of decors, making it highly resistant to impact and scratches from the wear and tear of everyday use. Merino HPL is also resistant to smudges, stains, and marks because of its non-porous and easy-to-clean properties. The numerous possibilities from these speciality laminates let you experience surfaces with premium aesthetic appeal, along with functional benefit for every unique purpose. Merinolam has a collection of inspiring colours and creative finishes, plus a selection of unicolour laminates with one uniform colour throughout.
