Our process couldn’t be more simple. But if all seems overwhelming and you need to chat, feel free to give us a call. Our team is always on hand to talk you through the process or discuss your project plans in more detail.

1. Choose between IKEA or HOWDENS cabinets? IKEA cabinets are flat-packed and easily accessible. HOWDENS cabinets are rigid and pre-assembled. Both suppliers offer their own benefits, including a range of sizes, as well as functional and innovative internal accessories that can be tailored to each project. Your choice can also be determined by project or budget.

2. Set out a design plan; both IKEA and HOWDENS offer a design service that can be arranged directly, either online or through your nearest branch. If you would like help or creative input from our design team during this stage, please get in touch.

3. Send us your design; once a design plan has been drawn up, you are ready for the next stage. Head over to the Quote page, click Get A Quote, and simply fill out the boxes and attach your file to the form. As soon as we receive your plans, we will start listing all the required fronts, panels, accessories, and/or any bespoke elements in your design brief.

4. Decide on materials and finishes; while working through the first three stages, you will no doubt be considering materials and finishes to complete the perfect look. We can also provide these product samples to help you verify materials, finishes, or laminate colors. Once we confirm your choices, we will factor them into your quote.

5. Review your quote; your quote will be broken down so that the descriptions and costings are clearly listed. This will help you scan the details and verify your order list. If any adjustments or changes are required, they will be applied prior to your final approval.

6. Processing your order: upon your approval, we will raise an invoice and request payment to begin your order. Once we receive payment, we will prepare your order for production. We have a 5-day buffer period during which you can make any final changes or adjustments. After this time, your order will begin production and charges may apply.

7. Delivery: we aim to deliver your order within 6-8 weeks. But don’t worry, we will keep you updated throughout the production process to help you stay on track and coordinate other arrangements you may have in place for when your delivery arrives.

8. Installation: we always recommend using a seasoned fitter. This will ensure that your installation is carried out with the same attention to detail as our beautifully crafted fronts. But rest assured, we will be with you every step of the way if you need any advice or support to help you complete your project swiftly and without compromise. We also offer a local installation service. Please contact us first to check if we cover your postcode.

We currently deliver throughout the UK using a network of shipping services both local and national.

Shipping costs are calculated based on location and added to your quotation. For enquiries outside of the UK please contact us for more information with alternative shipping arrangements.

Smaller orders are generally delivered to your front door. However, most of our orders are sent on a pallet and deliveries are kerbside only, and delivery will be made as close as possible to the delivery address, so long as there is reasonable access for the delivery vehicle.

To prevent damage during transit, the maximum length of any delivery organised by Plyfronts is 2400mm. Aria worktops are a maximum length of 3600mm and delivered directly from Formica. We recommend having help on hand to safely handle worktops and larger panels.

If you can easily get to our workshop in Stapleford Abbotts, Essex, you are also welcome to pick up your order from there.

All goods purchased from Plyfronts are made-to-order. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund if you simply change your mind. We are also unable to refund or replace if items are ordered in error.

It is the responsibility of you the customer to ensure you have ordered the correct items before completing any purchase. For this reason, we would encourage you to send us your IKEA or HOWDENS design plans, where applicable, before completing your order. We will then check that you have all the items you need. Please also double check the items list on the quotation before ordering.

Once you receive your order, please check that all parcels are delivered intact and without damage. If your parcel packaging was damaged during transit, please check the items and email us within 48 hours of delivery with any issues. Please include photos of any damage.

In the unlikely event that any of the items you receive are faulty or damaged, we will, of course, repair or replace these items as necessary. We also understand that you may not immediately carry out your installation, so once you’ve fully unpacked your order, faulty or damaged items must be reported to us within 7 days of receiving them.

Please check all items before installing. In the case of worktops, if you do encounter a problem, please do not install them before contacting us. We are unable to take responsibility for damaged worktops once they are installed.

Each of our component parts are labelled on the reverse with its own number, matching the elevation plan, making installation easy.

We offer the complete range from Fenix, Formica and Merinolam. Feel free to contact us if you need a sample of a colour that isnโ€™t there.

We don’t edge band our fronts. Edge banding is used to cover material that is aesthetically or functionally undesirable.

Yes we do, we manufacture bespoke plywood worktops made-to-order, and we also supply Ariaยฎ worktops, a range of compact laminate designs manufactured by FORMICA. For more information see our product page.

Fronts with our handles are either pre-drilled or supplied blank. By drilling the holes yourself you have the flexibility to mount them where you think looks best. If you choose to supply your own handles your fronts will be supplied blank.

When drilling holes for your handles, we recommend that you place a piece of scrap wood on the inside of the door or drawer fronts behind where you’ll be drilling your holes. This will prevent chipping or splitting as the drill bit breaks through the back of your door or drawer fronts.

Yes we do, samples for laminates can be ordered free of charge from our materials page.

Samples for Ariaยฎ worktops can be ordered free of charge from our products page.

Sample packs with a mix of naked and laminated plywoods can be ordered via our samples form.

Yes, our fronts have the same hinge cutouts and fixing holes as both IKEA and HOWDENS fronts, making the installation no different to the standard fitting process. Custom-sized doors and top-hung doors are supplied without pre-drilled hinge cutouts. For top-hung doors, there are two different types of hinges which require different positions. The packs for IKEA and HOWDENS hinges come with a drilling template for your fitter.

There will need to be someone on site to receive the order, then check and sign off the order. If your order is not correct or has any damages you must report this within 48 hours of receiving the order.

If you are installing integrated appliances from the IKEA range our fronts are supplied to work with their configuration. Cover panels for kitchens, wardrobes and cabinets alike are fitted the traditional way with screws from the inside of the cabinet. Start by aligning the cover panel with the cabinet so that it overhangs the cabinet and lines up with your new fronts, then clamp it into position. Use a drill to bore a small pilot hole through the carcass side and into the cover panel, being careful not to go all the way through. Finally, secure the cover panel with pan head screws.

If you need to cut the panels to size, we recommend using a seasoned fitter to ensure a perfect and professional finish.

Our fronts have the same hinge cutouts and fixing holes as both IKEA or HOWDENS fronts, making the installation no different to the standard fitting process.

A pack of legs and clips will be included with your kitchen base units. Mark the back of the plinth where the legs will be. Center the clips and screw them onto the back of the plinth, aligning them with the marks. Then, snap the clips onto the legs. If you need a corner joint in your plinth, we recommend using a mitre joint.

Plyfronts offers a simple and affordable way to add custom elements to your space.

We finish each item using a premium-quality matt lacquer that is extremely hard-wearing, water-resistant, and non-yellowing, while still feeling natural to the touch. Our lacquer also contains antimicrobial properties to kill harmful bacteria, making it suitable for food preparation areas.

Once your plan is complete, head over to our quote page and email them to us via form and we will check these over. Please ensure that you have included sizes for fronts and panels on your plan which you can then remove once your order is finalised.

Can’t decide which colour, shade or laminate brand to choose or where the sink should go? Both IKEA and HOWDENS offer a fantastic planning service within their design team, and samples can be ordered free of charge from our materials page. However, if you do need a third opinion feel free to get in touch.

We recommend that you order your hinges from the cabinet supplier. The type of hinges you will need depends on what interior you choose for your cabinet. The easiest way to do this is to start with a complete cabinet and then simply ask for the fronts to be removed from the order. This way you ensure the correct number and type of hinges are included.

The only thing more important than getting your order right is making sure it arrives in perfect condition. We take great pride in our work, and take great care with packaging to ensure your order arrives safely.

In the unlikely event we have made a mistake, we will accept responsibility and make it right for you to the best of our ability.

Upon receipt of your order please check carefully for any damage. If there is any damage please document it with photographs and email them to returns@plyfronts.co.uk. Any damage must also be noted on the driverโ€™s shipping note. We will do our best to set things right as soon as possible. After 48 hours of delivery of your order if no damage has been reported we cannot accept responsibility for the damaged doors.

All of our fronts are made-to-order, and we aim to deliver your order within 6-8 weeks. However, lead times can vary during busy periods. Please contact us for current lead times.

This will vary by manufacturer. Aside from the cabinets, all general fittings, including hinges, drawer runners/boxes, and any additional internal fittings such as pull-out larders, should be supplied by the cabinet manufacturer. Fittings for integrated appliances should all be supplied by the appliance manufacturer. Please contact us if you need any further information or recommendations.

Just like our doors, the naked cover panels are 18mm thick and the laminated cover panels are 20mm thick. These are nominal sizes and are +/- 1mm in reality.

Our naked doors are 18mm thick, and our laminated doors are 20mm thick. These are nominal sizes and are +/- 1mm in reality. In some cases they are a little thicker than the IKEA and HOWDENS doors so make sure that you allow for this if ordering a worktop.
